Yuri Manga.

Those are my opinions about Yuri mangas I have read so far. I'm a beginner in the genre so. I didn't used to be a great yuri manga fan, I was more the "yaoi girl" xD

Girl Friends

This manga changed my taste for yuri :D
This is such an amazing manga!
It was my first Yuri manga and my favorite in the genre so far.
The story is absolutely amazing. It's about two completely different girls. Mari Kumakura is a ordinary looking girl who's grades are at the top of her class. She has very few friends, is normally shy, and eats lunch by herself. One day, she is approached by another girl, named Akko Oohashi. Akko is super popular and she claims that she wants to be friends with Mari. Mari is at first very suspicious of her true intentions, but eventually comes to realize she's not a bad person. After a hair cut and some fashion tips, Akko quickly transforms Mari into one of the cutest girls in the school. In no time, Mari and Akko are best friends, but what Akko doesn't know is that Mari starts to develop feelings that are more than just "friends."
It may seem very simple and silly but once you start reading it, you just can't stop. If You're a Romantic stories fan, you'll love it!
Also Akko and Mari are both very well drawn so are the other characters in the manga.
The author is Milk Morinaga. You should search for other One-Shots from this author =)

Strawberry Shake Sweet

When I first start reading this manga, I wasn't quite sure if I was going to enjoy it or not, but then it just turned out to be very interesting and funny.
The story involves two young talented girls, named Julia and Ran, who just don't know how to express their romantic feelings for each other.
This one also seems very silly and simple, but it turns out to be a good manga to read =)

Maria-Sama Ga Miteru

It was a manga and anime that captured my attention since I heard of it.
It is totally worth to read and to see the anime.
The story goes on the Lillian School. It is a Catholic exclusive school for young ladies and has a Student Council called Yamayurikai which has three leaders and which student receive a title based on name of Roses (Rosa Gigantea, Rosa Sinensis and Rosa Foetida). The hierarchy continues with the soeurs Roses that are called "le bouton de la rose" and their respective "petite soeurs". In this hierarchical system is found the girl Yumi, a 1st year student who has just entered this school and has an admiration for Sachiko, a student of 2nd year. Despite his admiration for Sachiko, Yumi has hopes of being invited to be her petite soeur, as Sachiko belongs to the Student Council. However, a chance meeting between the two, leads Sachiko to ask Yumi to be her soeur.
Also seems silly and simple (it seem like they all do, when it's me telling the stories xD)
but i's totally worth it :D

Bakuretsu Tenshi

It is a very good manga. What impressed me the most on it was the draws and not really the story itself although it is good and the anime as well :D
The story passes on the year 20XX. Under a Maintenance of Public Order Act, carrying firearms has been permitted to a restricted few.
Tokyo has been converted. Everyone now suffers a life of oppression and the threat of violence.
A mutual opposition in the underground plans to rebel against this malevolent syndicate. However, the people, and their names, as well as their occupations remain unknown.
The main characters are Jo, Meg, Sei, and Amy.
It's also a worth reading.

Kashimashi- Girl Meets Girl

The story itself is not that good, I think. I read it because I like the draws and the manga has some funny elements that makes it "readable".
The story is about a boy who becomes a girl because of Aliens, basically. Hazumu is that boy and he's rejected by the girl of his dreams, he loses himself in the mountains and is promptly squashed by an oncoming space ship. The alien inside, feeling guilty, rebuilds Hazumu's body, but as the wrong gender. Then Hazumu must learn how to be the girl his parents always wanted while dealing with the trials and tribulations of being caught in a love triangle between two girls: his childhood friend, Tomari, and Yasuna, the girl who rejected him but is now in love for him.

Kisses, Sighs and Cherry Blossom Pink

Another Milk Morinaga's story. Well, this one is a kinda the principal story of the one-shot "Chocolate Kiss Kiss", once the characters are the same: Nana and Hatomi. I don't know if I can call it a "manga" bacause it's a very short story, but I can't call it a one-shot, because it is too long for that, but anyway, it's a good "manga".
I really love Milk Morinaga's mangas so :D

Chocolate Kiss Kiss - One-Shot.

This a One-Shot by Milk Morinaga, the author of "Girl Friends". The story and specially the draws are very similar to "Girl Friends", but it's worth to read. :D
The story tell us about two girlfriends and Valentine's day, basically. It's a very lovely and sweet one-shot.

So far, this are all the Yuri mangas I've read.
I'm still finding out and searching for this genre, because it's very cool and it's good to try out new things beside yaoi that is the genre I love the most =)
